Learning to Write Notes: Worksheets for Young Musicians

The feature of these note worksheets is the repeated writing of two parallel sound series - C major and A minor, which are the primary cell of the circle of fifths of keys. Each time the sound series familiar to... the child appears in a different rhythmic or metric design, presenting new cognitive challenges. This technique in the learning process allows the child to focus on a new element of the musical language that has appeared in an already familiar notational picture.
In the manual, almost all elements of musical language are organized into four- or eight-measure structures, which will allow the learner not only to write the proposed notational and rhythmic material but also to perform it.
The note worksheets will introduce young musicians to the placement of notes on the staff, with treble and bass clefs, and will provide initial concepts of tonality, meter, note and rest durations, alteration signs, and dynamic shades.
