Mathematics. Training Examples. 2nd Grade

The trainer helps solve the crucial task of teaching a second grader to calculate quickly and accurately. The best way to bring counting skills to automatism is by solving examples for speed. The degree of material grasp is assessed by... the time spent on solving and the number of mistakes made. All tasks are grouped into standard blocks. In each of them, the student needs to complete a short, medium, and long series of examples arranged in columns of varying lengths. They are titled "Sprint," "Medium Distance," and "Marathon." Before starting to solve each column, time should be recorded, and upon completion, minutes and seconds should be noted. After that, the answers are checked. If mistakes were made, the number of them should also be recorded. Gradually, as the time taken decreases, the number of errors will strive toward zero. The manual is intended for use both at home and in school as additional material.
