For the Young Pianist. Grade 2. Anthology for Students of the Children's Music School

You are holding an anthology for students of the 2nd grade of the children's music school. The compilation of this collection was prompted by the need to have a sufficient amount of music-pedagogical material for teaching a child to play... the piano throughout the year in one textbook. The collection includes works from many previously published teaching aids that help solve the problems of this period of study. In accordance with the program requirements of the Children's Music School (DMSH) and the Children's School of Arts (DSHI), the anthology includes works representing the following sections: polyphony, large forms, pieces, etudes, and ensembles. Although the collection does not use pieces from the "Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach," "Children's Album" by P. Tchaikovsky, etudes by K. Czerny and A. Lemouana, as well as other well-known and undoubtedly necessary works, the presented artistic and instructional material is broad enough to allow for the selection of the required number of works for working with a 2nd-grade student, taking into account their individuality. The material is clearly divided into sections, within which it is organized by degree of difficulty. The entire selection and systematization of works reflects well-known pedagogical principles and is equally a result of many years of experience working with children by the authors-compilers.
