Escape from Caesar's Triumph

Along with the main characters of this story - the mice Timka and Tinka - readers will be transported to 46 B.C. and find themselves in Ancient Rome at the very moment when the city is preparing for the triumph - a grand celebration in honor of Julius Caesar's victories. The triumph is anxiously awaited by a Greek boy named Alex - for him, like the other slaves captured by Caesar, death awaits at the celebration... Timka and Tinka are determined to help Alex escape at all costs. Fortunately, their desire to free the captive evokes sympathy from the Roman slave Servus, his owner - the noble girl Tullia, and the future great poet Horace.
