Developed motor skills not only help a child complete necessary creative tasks in school but are also closely related to mastering the skill of writing and the quality of speech. Therefore, be sure to engage in modeling and drawing at home, gathering puzzles, making various crafts together, performing shading, coloring, and tracing drawings along dotted lines - in other words, do things that strengthen the hand and prepare it for writing.
According to the program "Get Ready for School," children learn to write elements of written letters and letters by working in the "Handwriting" workbook for children aged 6-7. A child can engage individually with an adult or in a group with other children twice a week for 15-25 minutes.
The process of learning to write is a complex task for any child. They need to hear a sound, represent it in writing with the corresponding letter, recalling beforehand what elements it consists of and how these elements connect within the letter. It is also necessary to maintain continuity, slant, and uniform height and width of the letters.
