Cockroach from Rwanda

Once the life of Olivia Karemera was divided into "before" and "after". "Before" - sunny mornings in a big house in Gitarama, the brightness and novelty of each day, delicious, sometimes spicy food. "After" - faded sun all year round,... endless uniformity of the boarding house walls and almost tasteless, but healthy food. "Before" - the most beautiful mother, a smart and kind father-doctor, and a beloved older brother. "After" - loneliness in plain sight and the burden of memories. Memory repeatedly brings Olivia back to the year when hatred, nurtured for years, spilled onto the streets of her homeland, the African state of Rwanda. 
To live on in the present, Olivia has to confront the past face to face on the pages of her personal diary… and in life, when a new student arrives at the boarding house.
