Big Tyuters is a lighthouse on the island of the same name in the Gulf of Finland. The island of Big Tyuters passed to Russia in 1721, and at the beginning of the 20th century, it housed a large fishing... village with its own school, church, and meteorological station. The lighthouse was built in 1904 in a characteristic pseudo-Gothic style. A temporary railway was set up on the island to deliver materials to the construction site. Until the demining in the 2000s, only lighthouse keepers worked there, and the lighthouse's call sign became the word "Forgotten."
