This wonderful book from the publishing house “Malish” includes all three parts of the fairy tale by Tatiana Alexandrovna about the little house spirit Kuzka, who is well known to us from the series of animated films of the same name. Many phrases from the cartoon, such as “oh, what a trouble, what a sorrow!” or “I am not eating, I am not a goat!”, have firmly entered our everyday life.
The mischievous and restless Kuzka is only six or seven centuries old, entering his seventh. This book about him will make a wonderful gift for a preschool or younger school child. The basis for these books were stories about kikimoras, house spirits, and leshies that Tatiana and her twin sister Natalia were told by their nanny Matryona from Volga peasants in their childhood. The preparatory work on the manuscript stretched over a decade (Tatiana Alexandrovna conducted extensive research into folklore before taking on this story).
The illustrations for this children's book were created by animator Anatoly Savchenko (among other things, the author of the screen image of Carlson) specifically for the diafilm. That is why they turned out so bright, lively, and dynamic!
