The Mitten

The plot of the Ukrainian folk tale "The Mitten" is similar to the plot of the Russian folk tale "The Teremok": an old man went into the forest for firewood; he walked and didn’t notice how he lost his mitten.... A mouse ran by, saw the mitten, and decided to settle in it. Then a frog hopped in, a bunny came, followed by a fox, then a wolf, a boar, and a bear. As is always the case in fairy tales, there was enough room for everyone!
