The Mitten

The plot of the Ukrainian folk tale "The Mitten" is similar to the plot of the Russian folk tale "The Teremok": an old man went into the forest for firewood; he walked and didn’t notice how he lost his mitten.... A mouse ran by, saw the mitten, and decided to settle in it. Then a frog hopped in, a bunny came, followed by a fox, then a wolf, a boar, and a bear. As is always the case in fairy tales, there was enough room for everyone! 
The book is illustrated by the famous artist Yevgeny Rachev. It presents drawings from the first and most famous version - the one that is now kept in art museums around the world. One drawing is published for the first time.
