Sinbad the Sailor

"Sinbad the Sailor" is the greatest masterpiece of Arabic literature. The book features a classic translation by the orientalist and philologist Mikhail Alexandrovich Salye (1899–1961). Mikhail Salye is the first and only person in Russia who translated the tales of "One Thousand and One Nights" from the original language. The first volume of the tales was published in 1929, and the last, eighth, volume in 1939. This book presents an adapted text for children, created by the translator himself.
