Uncle Fyodor, the Dog and the Cat

Uncle Fyodor is an amazing character in Russian children's literature. Because in reality, he is not an uncle at all, but a small boy, a preschooler. But he is not an ordinary preschooler; he is very independent: he can cook porridge and soup for himself… And one day he met a cat, also very independent. However, the cat was happy to live with kind people and came to visit Uncle Fyodor. Oh, it was not worth it for Uncle Fyodor's mom to be so strict! If she had allowed the cat to stay, there would have been no story at all. There would have been no tale about the inhabitants of the village of Prostokvashino: Uncle Fyodor, the dog and the cat!
