The Valley of Fear

In the concluding story about Sherlock Holmes, the famous detective and his faithful companion Dr. Watson investigate the murder of a man who challenged one of the most dangerous and ruthless gangs in America twenty years ago.
The story is adapted... using Ilya Frank's method: it is provided with a literal translation into Russian and the necessary lexical and grammatical commentary (without simplifying the original text).
The uniqueness of the method lies in the fact that memorization of words and expressions occurs through their repetition, without recitation and the need to use a dictionary. Furthermore, the reader becomes accustomed to the logic of the English language and starts to "feel" it.
