Slavic Antiquities. The Tale of Svetozar

Every person creates their own Destiny, and Happiness comes only to those who believe in themselves, in their abilities, who can find what they are destined for. The main idea of "The Tale of Svetozar" is fidelity to one's calling,... which is understood as the highest meaning of life.
Through the example of the main character — Prince Svetozar, — the author, historian, and psychologist, shows that it is important for every person to strive for self-knowledge, self-development, and self-improvement in order to find themselves and their place in the world. But the meaning of life is not only a personal category. We live in society, interact, and influence each other. On the pages of the book, the image of the Prince, the story of his life and reign becomes a moral example, a guiding star for the young Tsarevich, who, by emulating the Prince, shapes his personality and ultimately finds his true calling.
The work is permeated with philosophical reflections on the nature of power and the inevitably closed cycle of causes and effects of all our actions, on what history is and what place each individual person occupies in it.
"The Tale" does not belong to the genre of historical novel, although it is written with reference to specific historical material. However, it carries with it the moral traditions of antiquity, the cultural heritage of our common past, and relies on the idea of serving people, mutual assistance, and understanding as an inviolable foundation of human community. It is to these values that the main character — Prince Svetozar — remains faithful throughout his life, and that is why he was able to become and remain Himself.
