China against Taiwan. War in the air

The crews of the aircraft of the Air Force and naval aviation of the People's Republic of China have truly invaluable experience flying in the waters of Taiwan as part of heterogeneous groups over long distances in conditions closely resembling combat. No other country in the world has such experience. In 2021 alone, the Chinese violated Taiwan's airspace about a thousand times. Moreover, the flights are becoming increasingly massive, with the mandatory participation of strike aircraft – H-6K bombers, JH-7 fighter-bombers, and J-16 multirole fighters (the versions of our Su-27). All flights are coordinated with the actions of the Navy, missile forces, and marine corps units, as a military operation against Taiwan is unthinkable without a landing operation on the island.

A new book by a well-known historian, based on the latest data, for the first time in literature thoroughly covers the course of military confrontation between China and Taiwan, as well as its little-known aspects (for example, secret negotiations regarding the sale of Su-27s from the USSR to Taiwan). From the crises of the 1950s and 1990s to the military tension of today, which threatens to escalate into World War III, and the role of the USA in this. Additionally, the author details the aviation component of the China-Taiwan conflict (aerial battles, pilots, and aircraft involved in operations). The publication is illustrated with numerous rare photographs.
