How to Love a Child

In the same year,... the famous children's writer, doctor, and educator, founder of the legendary Orphanage, along with his wards (about 200 children), perished in a concentration camp in Treblinka. In 1942, Janusz Korczak turned sixty-four; he was widely known for his original views on the principles of raising a child, which he actively and quite successfully implemented. The foundation of his educational system was a very simple idea: a child is a full-fledged person, entitled to their own opinions and their own attitude towards the surrounding world.
