Workbook "MENTAL ARITHMETIC". Part 1. WRITE AND ERASE! (+ marker)

By creating this workbook, we wanted to open the world of mental arithmetic to you. Currently, mental arithmetic is spreading more and more in Russia, but for most, it remains inaccessible for various reasons. What is mental arithmetic? Mentally means... in the mind. Arithmetic is a branch of mathematics that studies numbers. Learning mental arithmetic, children first learn to perform calculations on special beads: an abacus, using both hands, which is already training both hemispheres of the brain, thus contributing to the child's development. Gradually, children learn to visualize the abacus and move the beads in their minds, which is already mental arithmetic. The workbook is reusable for a reason; the secret of mental arithmetic lies in regular practice! But children need the same examples. By completing tasks repeatedly, you will notice a decrease in mistakes and an increase in calculating speed; gradually, the same calculations should be performed on a virtual or illustrated abacus below. No matter what anyone says, mental arithmetic can be learned independently; the main thing is to practice regularly, ideally every day for 15-20 minutes, and success will not keep you waiting. The workbook is supplemented with tasks that are not related to mental arithmetic but also develop both hemispheres. The goal of mental arithmetic is brain development, not just mental calculation, but even mental calculation is already good; noting and evaluating the rest will be more difficult. As a result of this book, the child will learn what an abacus is, how to represent numbers up to 99 on it, will be able to add numbers within nine, and solve specially selected two-digit examples, but do not try to give the child arbitrary tasks yet. The other 'formulas' for counting on the abacus will be provided in the next book. Do not compare the child to anyone else, but note their progress relative to themselves! Enjoy the process, be attentive and patient. Do not rush to 'complete' all the tasks; it is necessary to return to them, increasing speed and reducing time spent on their completion.
