Dungeon of Darkness

"Dungeon of Darkness" – is a cooperative board game where your task is to escape from a gloomy maze. As you light your path, you will discover new passages, while the old ones, fading into darkness, will disappear forever. To... leave this eerie place, you will need to cooperate and plan your actions – otherwise, you will be consumed by the darkness. Up to five players can play "Dungeon of Darkness" – but you can also challenge your fears and play solo in single-player mode.
In "Dungeon of Darkness", players control prisoners who will move across the board, which consists of a square of six fragments on each side. After placing your character on the board, you must lay out the field fragments around them: a candle allows you to see the nearest elements of the maze. Once you move your character’s token, you need to lay out new fragments, and those that have gone out of your "light zone" must be removed. They will not return to the game: even if you go back, you will have to lay out new maze elements!
On your turn, you must choose one of two possible actions:
Move.
In this case, you move your prisoner one cell forward, lay out new field fragments, and remove those that have gone into darkness. Remember that the passages of the maze are very narrow – only one prisoner can occupy one cell.
Stay in place.
In this case, you discard one fragment from your supply and gain a determination token. It allows you to perform special actions – for example, to evade a monster's attack or give the prisoners precious time.
Although the maze is cramped and dark, most of the field fragments do not pose a danger to the prisoners. However, among them lurk nightmarish monsters – wax devourers. You must place a fragment with them under the same rules as a regular field fragment – but remember, the wax devourer will pounce on anyone it sees… You should be careful and build the maze in such a way as to avoid encountering this unknown creature.
A monster's attack brings nothing good. Firstly, it will discard 3 field fragments from the supply, bringing the game closer to its end. Secondly, it will cause your candle to extinguish – in this case, your prisoner will not see anything except the fragment they are on! To relight the candle, you must be on an adjacent fragment with another prisoner.
And this is by no means the only problem that the unfortunate prisoners will face in the maze. In the darkness, there are collapsing fragments and pits – just one step can turn everything upside down. Choose carefully how you will place the new field fragments.

From time to time, you will find field fragments with keys. Each prisoner must acquire a key to win – only then can you leave this eerie place. The only way to win is to meet at the gates, a special field fragment. By opening them, you immediately win.
There are many more ways to lose. Prisoners will be lost if:
All 4 fragments with the gates are consumed by darkness
Some prisoner cannot get a key
The darkness blocks all paths to the gates for the prisoners

"Dungeon of Darkness" was conceived as a game in which it is hard to win, but you can adjust the difficulty level for your company. By adding extra key fragments, you can make the game easier – but there are also several ways to make it even harsher.
You are free to introduce two new monsters into the game – the Key Keeper, which complicates the process of acquiring keys, and the Spawn of Darkness, which can change the structure of the game board. And if that isn't enough for you, introduce boss monsters into the game: truly nightmarish creatures that will make escape from the maze much more difficult. Creatures known as the Unavertable can reach you from almost any corner of the board, and their attacks are far more dangerous than those of regular monsters, while the colossal Wailer occupies a full 9 cells!
