Ruslan and Lyudmila. Fairy Tales

The fairy tales of the great Russian poet A.S. Pushkin (1799–1837) are known to us from early childhood. The collection includes "The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish" (1833), "The Tale of the Golden Cockerel" (1834), "The Tale of Tsar Saltan" (1831), "The Tale of the Dead Princess and the Seven Knights" (1833), as well as an excerpt from the poem "Ruslan and Lyudmila" (1817–1820). The poet began writing the poem "Ruslan and Lyudmila" while still in the lyceum. Prince Vladimir the red sun celebrates the wedding of his youngest daughter Lyudmila with Prince Ruslan. And only three guests are not happy for the young couple: Ruslan's three rivals: Rogdai, Farlaf, and Ratmir. Suddenly, Lyudmila disappears. The angry great prince orders the young knights to go in search of Lyudmila.
