Before you is the March family: the father went to war, the mother helps send packages to the front, and their four daughters, already young ladies, are preparing to grow up and find their place in 19th century American society. Despite their weaknesses and mistakes, little women strive to be virtuous: they learn to forgive each other, not to be lazy, to be honest and generous.
