451 degrees Fahrenheit is the temperature at which paper ignites and burns. Bradbury's philosophical dystopia paints a bleak picture of the development of a post-industrial society: a world of the future where all written publications are ruthlessly destroyed by a special firefighting unit, where storing books is prosecuted by law, interactive television successfully serves the purpose of dumbing down the masses, punitive psychiatry decisively deals with rare dissenters, and an electric dog is on the hunt for incorrigible dissidents...

Bradbury's sensational statement in 2007 that «Fahrenheit 451» is misunderstood came as a shock. This book is not about governmental censorship; it is a story about how television destroys the interest in reading books.

In the early 1950s, most Americans had never seen a television, yet Bradbury predicted the dawn of a new era of freedom, abundance, and entertainment, when the desire to be happy, multiplied by political correctness, would lead to book bans.

The calendar is created based on the immortal dystopia of George Orwell «1984» and its edition in the «Gift Edition. Famous Classics with Illustrations» series. The pages of the calendar alternate.
