Speech Therapy Massage for Different Forms of Dysarthria

This educational manual presents an author's methodology for performing speech therapy massage for different forms of dysarthria. 

The massage is presented as an independent holistic speech therapy technology for developing the articulatory aspect of speech in dysarthria. 

Particular attention is paid to the physiological justification for the use of massage, with scientific representations of the structure and anatomical-physiological mechanisms of the peripheral speech motor apparatus outlined, along with the main principles for composing massage programs and the specifics of conducting speech therapy massage for different forms of dysarthria. 

Issues of speech therapy diagnosis of muscle tone and motor function conditions of the peripheral speech apparatus in dysarthria are discussed in detail, specifying the nuances of this diagnosis when prescribing speech therapy massage, and clear diagnostic criteria for the necessity of speech therapy massage are presented. 

Differentiated speech therapy massage techniques are systematized and described, taking into account the etiopathogenetic mechanisms of various clinical forms of dysarthria, with different types and complexes of speech therapy massage detailed, and methodological recommendations for their application provided.
