Speech Therapy Massage for Different Forms of Dysarthria

This tutorial provides a detailed account of the author's methodology for performing speech therapy massage for different forms of dysarthria. 

The massage is presented as a standalone holistic speech therapy technology for forming the articulatory side of speech in cases of dysarthria. 

Special attention is devoted to the physiological justification for the appropriateness of using massage, discussing scientific understandings of the structure and anatomical-physiological mechanisms of the peripheral speech-motor apparatus, and formulating the basic principles for composing massage programs and the specifics of conducting speech therapy massage for different forms of dysarthria. 

The issues of speech therapy diagnostics regarding the tone and motor functions of the muscles of the peripheral speech apparatus in cases of dysarthria are covered in detail, noting the specifics of this diagnostics when prescribing speech therapy massage, as well as presenting clear diagnostic criteria for the necessity of prescribing speech therapy massage. 

Systematized and described are the techniques of differentiated speech therapy massage, taking into account the etiopathogenetic mechanisms of different clinical forms of dysarthria, various types and complexes of speech therapy massage are described, along with methodological recommendations for their application.
