Four Seasons

Stephen King is a writer who loves traditions. One of them is the publication of collections, invariably consisting of four novellas. "Four Seasons" became the first such collection. Its title story "Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption" became the basis for... the legendary film by Frank Darabont starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman. Here, each work is a small journey, the tone and mood of which are set by a particular season… Spring — and an innocent person wrongfully convicted is sentenced to life in prison, but as long as hope lives within him, he will step by step implement his genius escape plan. Summer — and in a small town, high school student Todd Bowden becomes obsessed with the dark past of an old man next door, gradually becoming his disciple. Autumn — and four bored teenagers wander through a dark, endless forest to look at a corpse. Winter — and an elderly doctor begins an amazing tale about a strong woman who decides to conquer death.
