A Little About Myself: An Autobiographical Novel

The book by the famous English writer and Nobel Prize laureate Rudyard Kipling (1865–1936) includes two most significant memoirs: his autobiography «A Little About Myself for My Friends – Acquaintances and Strangers» (1936), which begins with the words «Return to... me the first six years of childhood and you may take all the others», and a book of essays about the author's travel impressions from his journey in 1889 from India to England through the countries of Southeast Asia and North America, in which the traditions, everyday life, and worldview of the peoples of different countries and parts of the world – from India, Burma, Japan, and China to the United States – are vividly and vividly described in lively language.
