A Hundred Years Ahead

The most exciting story by Kir Bulychev "A Hundred Years Ahead" tells about the adventures of a sixth-grader from Moscow, Kolya, who accidentally finds himself in 2028. Nikolai discovers the amazing world of the future — robots, inhabitants of different... planets, travels in spaceships, meets Professor Seleznev's daughter Alice, and the treacherous space pirates Rat and Cheerful U. By chance, Nikolai uncovers the pirates' plan to steal the mielophone — a device that reads the thoughts of people and animals from a distance; he saves the device from the pirates and returns to his time. Following Kolya, the treacherous pirates and Alice Seleznev, who wishes to save the mielophone, travel back to his time. Moscow schoolchildren come to Alice's aid, but will they manage to save the mielophone and Kolya?
Based on the story, a five-part television film "Guest from the Future" was shot in 1985, and in 2023, a blockbuster "A Hundred Years Ahead" was released.
