Spring, spring! How clean the air is!

Evgeny Abramovich Baratynsky 1800–1844 – a poet of the golden age of Russian literature and a prominent translator. During his military service in the Life Guards Yegersky Regiment, Baratynsky develops a close friendship with A. Pushkin and A. Delvig, and later meets other writers from Pushkin's circle: N. Gnedich, P. Vyazemsky, and V. Kyukhelbekker. Pyotr Vyazemsky would say of his comrades: “Pushkin, Delvig, Baratynsky – the twins of the Russian muse.” A special place in the poet's work is occupied by lyrics about nature. The collection includes the best poems and poems of E.A. Baratynsky, which are studied in school: “Spring, spring! How clean the air is!..”, “Autumn”, “Where sweet whispers...” and others.
