Yevgeny Abramovich Baratynsky 1800–1844 – a poet of the golden age of Russian literature and a prominent translator. During his military service in the Leib Guard Yeger Regiment, Baratynsky forms a close friendship with A. Pushkin and A. Delvig, and... later meets other literary figures of Pushkin's circle: N. Gnedich, P. Vyazemsky, and V. Kyukhelbeker. Pyotr Vyazemsky will say of his companions: “Pushkin, Delvig, Baratynsky – the twins of Russian muse.” A special place in the poet's work is occupied by lyrics about nature. The collection includes the best poems and poems by E.A. Baratynsky that are studied in school: “Spring, spring! How pure the air is!..”, “Autumn”, “Where the sweet whisper...”, and others.
