One of the first cycles of drawings for «Eugene Onegin» was created by Pavel Sokolov, whom his contemporaries called «the creator of Tatyana». And half a century later, an exquisite publication from one of the best Russian printing houses — «Partnership of R. Golike and A. Wilborg», supplier to the Imperial court, with watercolors by Elena Samokish-Sudkovskaya, enjoyed enormous popularity.
