Dead Souls

The book includes the immortal poem of the great Russian writer N. V. Gogol "Dead Souls" and articles by remarkable Russian critics K. S. Aksakov and V. G. Belinsky, as well as essays by the well-known contemporary literary scholar V. A. Voropaev. The illustrations for the poem, placed in the book, were created in the mid-19th century by the founder of Russian genre illustration A. A. Agin, and were engraved on wood by his collaborator E. E.
