Max has an old camera, a lively mind, a loving mother, but no friends, father, or permanent home. Carolyn is a former doll maker who has lost her inspiration. She gets by with odd jobs to somehow pay the bills and raise her son. Together they are a family. Small, imperfect, with cracks glued together by love.
