Igor. The Root of the Lineage

The novel «Igor. The Root of the Lineage» is the third in the chain of narratives about the first Novgorod-Kiev princes during the formation and development of the Russian principality in the IX-X centuries. The reader is already familiar with... the novels «Rurik. The Flight of the Falcon» and «The Runes of the Prophetic Oleg», written by us in collaboration with Mikhail Nikolaevich Zadornov. Prince Igor - the first East Slavic prince whose name is known to both Byzantine and Western sources. In this novel, we presented a version of the historical events that seems logically justified. Prince Igor, later called the Old, laid his stone in the foundation of the Russian principality, defending and strengthening it honorably, without losing anything from what had been conquered earlier by his father Rarog-Rurik and his uncle Oleg the Prophetic. He laid the foundation for the dynasty of the Rurikids, who ruled in Russia for more than six hundred years.
