Katya is once again spending the summer at her grandmother's house in Alaska. One day, she accidentally saves a real Kodiak—a huge rare bear! Thus, Katya gets an unusual friend—Cody the bear. They spend all their time together, playing, drawing, and fishing. At first, the grandmother is apprehensive about him, but gradually she understands that even such a wild creature needs love and care. But suddenly, Katya has to leave. Cody the bear misses his human very much… he can't find a place for himself and sets off after her.
