Indians and Schoolchildren

The trilogy by Dmitry Konanykhин "Indians and Schoolchildren", "Students and Completely Grown-Up People" and "Thin Green Line" is a continuation of the novel "Grandfathers and Great-Grandfathers", which received the Gorky Literary Prize in 2016 in the category "For the Connection... of Generations and the Development of Traditions in the Russian Epic Novel". The beginning of the trilogy is the novel "Indians and Schoolchildren" about post-war amusements, about the behavior of children and their relationships with relatives and peers. Vivid dreams, first love, school battles, scraped knees, and wild games create the image of a happy childhood, while street-to-street battles, criminal behavior, and deadly hatred are attributes of the difficult times of the early 1950s. The reader, through the eyes of the "Indians" and schoolchildren, is absorbed in the plot, experiences and lives the life of the book's heroes.
