Ghosts of the Green Continent: a novel

This is the third novel by Catherine Padritch, written in the genre of magical realism. All of K. Padritch's books are based on her own travel experiences in remote and hard-to-reach regions of various countries and continents. The author pays... great attention to the myths and legends of indigenous peoples, as well as introducing readers to the wildlife.
The first novel, «The First Dawn on the Green Earth», was written in 2013, after long and dangerous adventures in the countries of Latin America. This was followed by Mongolia, Australia, Peru, Bolivia, Mexico, Burma, Laos, Cambodia... And each journey is reflected in a new book.
The basis of the novel «Ghosts of the Green Continent» lies in events during a trip across Australia. A strange group of friends undertakes a challenging journey full of dangers and adventures, starting from Sydney and the northern territories of Australia, heading to Green Island, overcoming off-road challenges to York Peninsula... but this is not just a journey. Each of them has their own goal - to study endangered animal species, to create topographical maps of unexplored territories, to restore Aboriginal rock art, to find in it a reflection of myths and legends... But unexpectedly, a door opens to another world of mythical beings... But who are they? Whose side are they on? What does the dingo keep silent about? What do the Great Spirits, the Spirits of the northern territories of the Green Continent, want from them...?
