The challenge problem, a complex task, a call - this is a great opportunity to set a goal and work towards its accomplishment. This is an opportunity to clearly plan your actions for a certain period: day, week, month, academic quarter, half-year, etc. This is a kind of competition: who is faster, better. The tasks in the challenge notebooks are small: 1–2 tasks per lesson. Each lesson is checked and assessed first by the child using smileys, then by an adult: a teacher, educator, or parent. Once the child gets used to this type of work (after 3–5 lessons), we suggest complicating the task - setting a time limit for completing the tasks. Time has started. It is also appropriate to organize a speed competition for completing tasks in class. The competitive nature of completing tasks and challenges makes the learning process engaging and interesting, teaching the child to set achievable goals and solve them independently. Challenge notebooks will train younger students in self-learning, self-checking, and self-assessment. Challenge notebooks can be used in every lesson for independent work, at home to reinforce the material learned in class, during vacations, for quick revision of a particular topic in the curriculum. With this notebook, the child will learn to quickly and correctly: • write all vocabulary words; • solve riddles; • solve rebuses.
