Gold Rush

“Gold Rush” — a continuation of the widely known novel “Amur-Father”. In the last decades of the 19th century, rich gold deposits were discovered on numerous tributaries of the Amur. Driven by need and hardships, settlers left their villages to wash the precious metal in the taiga. Here and there in the depths of the Amur forests, “brotherly republics” of miners emerged with their own laws and rulers. Some of them even engaged in open conflict with the tsarist authorities.
