Atterly Dark and the Abyss

A wonderful story by Philip Reeve, the famous author of the «Mortal Engines» series. Little Atterly lives in England on distant islands that almost no one knows about, on the border between the real world and the mysterious sea Abyss, from where the many-faced monster Gorm occasionally comes and destroys everything around it. For hundreds of years, Atterly's ancestors have kept watch on the Tower, ready to fend off Gorm, and peace reigned on the islands. But it seems the monster has once again decided to visit their lands. The girl is sure – it is very close. But what does Gorm want? Who is she, and why is she watching Atterly?
