Fifty years ago, the ancient theocratic civilization of Ssean made contact with humans and significantly changed human society over the years. The former ambassador of Earth to Ssean, Lukas Hildebrandt, decided to find a way to resist the influence of... the aliens and achieved what he set out to do, but at the same time inadvertently touched upon the darkest secret of his unbeatable opponents. Because of his actions, a struggle for power begins in what seemed to be the unshakeable church of the aliens, the center of their culture, while something else, a cold and indifferent mind that lurked in the depths of space, has now decided to act. Lukas himself is trying to establish contact with a weapon he intended to turn against Ssean—a telepath from another planet. But how to communicate with someone who knows every thought you have, every fear? How to make someone who knows everything about you listen, while remaining a mystery themselves?
