Your fathers - where are they? And the prophets, will they live forever?

Thomas - an average thirty-four-year-old American - feels that life has lost its meaning, and he is trying to understand himself and the society he lives in. His head is torn apart by torment, fears, unfulfilled plans, and, most importantly,... by questions. And there is only one way to find answers - to ask. Then Thomas kidnaps people one by one whom he would like to talk to: an astronaut, a former congressman, a school teacher, his own mother, a police officer, a doctor, and even a random passerby.

Why isn't the astronaut going to the Moon? Why doesn't the state have money for this, but five trillion dollars were just spent on a senseless war? Can twelve heavily armed police officers surround one person with a steak knife and the outcome be execution in the backyard? Why does his mother never give due credit to his achievements? And most importantly - how to overcome despair, find oneself and one's place in life?

The answers must be honest, even if they cause pain.
