A turmoil is brewing along the borders of the principality, while confusion grows in Ryazan itself. No one knows when the invasion will begin, but the looming threat over Ryazan does not scare the other princes of Russia, who are habitually occupied with their own conflicts. Everyone is waiting. And only a voivode from the twentieth century, who has already taken many secret steps to strengthen the city, is convinced – without support, Ryazan is doomed nonetheless.
