The action of this inventive novel in the genre of Russian fantasy takes place in a parallel world, where the all-powerful Koschei the Deathless lives, along with his lover Elena the Fair, Queen Mary Morevna, her stepson Ivan Tsarevich, the pirate Nightingale the Robber, and other fairy tale characters. It seemed we have known many of them since childhood, but only now do their personalities and desires reveal themselves in a mature way. The fairy tale heroes love and save, weave intrigues and take revenge, conquer the lands of enemies and form alliances. Their dangerous adventures also involve ordinary people who have penetrated into the fairy world: young police officers and a teenager named Kostya, who decided to postpone his return home to study at a school of magic... The struggle for power in the fairy reality is no less acute than here on Earth. Will gifts from our world help the heroes defend their interests? After all, now the fairy warriors are armed with submachine guns and Makarov pistols— in addition to ancient swords, flying dragons, and of course, magic.
