In accordance with the program requirements of children's music schools and art schools, the anthology includes works representing the following sections: polyphony, large forms, pieces, etudes, and ensembles. Although the collection does not include pieces from Anna Magdalena Bach's Notebook, Tchaikovsky's Children's Album, etudes by Czerny and Lemouana, as well as other well-known and undoubtedly necessary works, the presented artistic and instructional material is broad enough to allow for selecting the necessary number of works to work with a grade 2 student, considering their individuality. The material is clearly divided into sections, which are arranged by degree of complexity. The entire selection and systematization of works reflect well-known pedagogical principles and are equally the result of many years of experience working with children by the authors of the compilation.
