An Essay on the Principle of Population

Many people today are asking questions about the existence of humanity in the future. Are there limits to the number of people? How can (and should) this number be regulated? Under what conditions could a global famine occur? How can... a global catastrophe be avoided due to overpopulation?

These questions did not arise today - they occupied the minds of scientists and philosophers 100 and 200 years ago. One of the first to articulate his concerns on this subject was T.R. Malthus in his work «An Essay on the Principle of Population» (1798). In this book, readers will find the reflections of the economist on the potential uncontrolled population growth, as well as assumptions regarding the consequences of such a situation. Moreover, we have the opportunity to trace the roots of modern theories on population back to the late 18th century.
