The Legend of the Great Wave

World9 — a deadly planet covered in poisonous sands. To survive here, people have perfected their mechanical arts, turning everything around them into a kingdom of machines and rust. Here, deserts are traversed by enormous ships, intelligent and predatory, while... a dreadful disease turns human flesh into metal. In this world lives Naila, the captain of an old whaling ship named Sirakk, now turned cargo vessel. Naila follows the trails of humpback whales that dwell in the sands, searching for the Great Wave, an incredible physical phenomenon that no one has seen yet, and those who have seen it will tell no tales. For some, it is merely a legend. For others, a superstition. For some, a real danger. For Naila — the sole purpose in life, the opportunity to bring peace back to World9 and give it a future, as there exists a legend that the Great Wave can be controlled.
