Modern Orthographic Dictionary of the Russian Language with Rules

Valentina Vasilievna Burtsova is an experienced lexicographer, the author of numerous dictionaries of the Russian language that help users be literate. This dictionary contains approximately 55,000 words and phrases of modern Russian. Unlike other orthographic dictionaries, the rules for writing all difficult words are provided in the body of the dictionary alongside the words themselves, which helps the reader not only to learn how to spell the word but also to remember the corresponding rule. A compilation of all the rules is also placed at the end of the dictionary. Headwords are provided according to their normative spelling, equipped with stress marks, grammatical forms, and in difficult cases, pronunciation notes.
