This edition includes almost all of the original poems of the poet except for children's and humorous trifles, as well as unfinished or not fully preserved fragments. The edition retains the spelling and punctuation of O.E. Mandelstam. He has landscape... and love lyrics, shaded in the softest watercolor tones, there are poems infused with light "Petersburg" humor, but there are also poems reaching a high dramatic intensity about the suppression of man by the state, with the poet expressing equal disdain for both pre-revolutionary and Bolshevik Russia. For him, the only measure and point of reference is the person, who is a peculiar highest embodiment of Nature and History. This thought runs through the entire creative work of the poet.
