And someone is celebrating this bright holiday for the first time here, in the northern land. It is not easy for a single father with two sons — their homeland is far away. Will this small family find comfort, joy, and a new home on hospitable Muir? The answer to this question can be found in the novella "The Distant Shore", which tells the backstory of some characters from the novels dedicated to the island of Muir.
