Man in Space. Pushing the Boundaries of the Unknown

The Starmus science festival took place for the first time in 2011, and since then it has become a tradition for leading scientists, celebrities in the fields of space exploration and music, who share a passion for popularizing knowledge about Earth and space, to participate in it. The festival's founder, Garik Israelyan, created an expert council that included such remarkable figures as astrophysicist and rock musician Brian May, evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins, microwave radiation pioneer Robert Wilson, theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking, astronaut Alexei Leonov, Nobel Prize-winning chemist Harold Croto, and others. The lectures collected in this book are dedicated to space exploration, evolution, and the origins of life. Astronauts from the American and Soviet space programs will share unknown details of their flights and express their opinions on the future of Earth and humanity. Scientists will share new research data related to studying life on Earth and the search for worlds in the universe that resemble ours and could become a home for humanity. Scientific editor --- A.
