Georgian Language Without a Tutor. Self-Teaching Guide to the Georgian Language
The aim of this self-teaching guide, which includes sixteen lessons, is to help the reader quickly and effectively master the Georgian language without the assistance of a tutor. The book covers the entire scope of grammatical and lexical material necessary...
for studying the language at the initial levels A1 and A2. The authors have tried to present the grammatical material in the most accessible form and equipped it with a large number of visual diagrams, tables, and examples with commonly used vocabulary. Except for the first lesson, which is entirely dedicated to the Georgian script, each of the remaining fifteen lessons contains new vocabulary, a text thematically corresponding to the material of the entire lesson, a grammatical section, as well as examples of phrases and expressions commonly used in Georgian everyday speech. In addition, the material of some lessons includes thematic dialogues and information about productive word formation models. To successfully consolidate each topic covered, various exercises are provided at the end of each lesson. The publication concludes with two appendices - keys to the exercises and a vocabulary list, which presents vocabulary units, phrases, and expressions used in the book in alphabetical order. The manual is intended for a wide range of people studying the Georgian language, and primarily for those who have decided to master it independently. The authors would be deeply grateful for any comments and suggestions regarding this self-teaching guide and wish readers success in studying the Georgian language!
