The book is a teaching and methodological guide dedicated to a specific group of conversational topics - "Family", "Appearance", "Clothing", "Housing", "Food", "Abilities and Work", "Leisure", "Transport". For each of the topics included in the collection, original texts of varying... difficulty from the modern Norwegian press and Russian-Norwegian thematic dictionaries are provided. For example, for the topic "Family", the authors offer thematic dictionaries: "Relatives", "Age and Gender", "Blood Relationship", "Courting", "Marriage", "Child Rearing", "Death". These thematic dictionaries also cover vocabulary not included in existing bilingual dictionaries.
In addition, various tasks and exercises are provided for the texts.

The guide is addressed to those studying Norwegian in various language courses and independently, as well as Norwegian translators.
