Three Shadows

The taste of cherries... coolness... the fresh smell of the river... that's how we lived in the hollow among the hills, sheltered from the bad weather, far from the world, as if on a friendly and cozy island. And then...... Then everything changed...
This is how the graphic novel «Three Shadows» begins. It is based on a true story of the author's friends. This is a heart-wrenching, metaphorical, and very delicate story about the loss of a child, but with a truly bright, wise, and kind ending. Cyril Pedrosa shows the reader the emotions and experiences that people can feel in such a situation. A close-knit family — Louis, his wife Lisa, and their little son Joaquin — live in a small house away from the noise and hustle. They are absolutely happy and enjoy every new day spent together. Until, one day, three shadows appear on the hill. Three horsemen. At first, they just stand still and watch, disappearing and reappearing. But then, right in the middle of the night, they find themselves at the doorstep of the house and almost kidnap Joaquin. Then the parents understand: the horsemen have come for their son, to take him away forever...
With a broken heart, the mother tries to find solace with the local witch, but the father adamantly refuses to give up! He tries to run away, to take his son as far away as possible, hoping that in distant lands, the Shadows will not be able to find them. But the Shadows are fate itself.
